Legal Challenges of Divorce - Think Your Personal Economic Situation is Tough Now?
The number one cause of divorce is well known by all, and it has nothing to do with cheating spouses, incompatibility, growing apart, or mother-in-laws. We all know that financial hardship is the main reason for divorces. Well, "if you think your financial situation is less than stellar now," says one local divorce attorney, "then just wait until after you get my bill, and then take a look at your personal balance sheet, or what's left of it, that is!"
Well, at least our local divorce lawyer in our town who attends the local chamber of commerce meetings here is honest about the reality of his charges, the costs, and the diminishing economies of scale and financial synergy which comes from being married. You want to know another very interesting fact. Lawyers who specialize in divorces, also do very well if they also have a sideline business doing personal bankruptcies. That's a scary thought.
One lawyer marketing bulletin I recently read talked about how bankruptcy lawyers should work hard to network and cross-refer with divorce lawyers. And get this; the article went on to say that spousal abuse law was also a good type of legal specialty to network with the other two. What does this mean?
It means financial hardships are what really send people over the edge, the financial stress that folks are experiencing today in the era of Obamanomics is sending quite a bit of business to our local lawyers, yes and all those family, marriage counselors and psychologists too. Personally, I hate to see all this infighting over financial issues, but that's how things work I guess.
Please consider all this, stick-it-out, and in the end you will be better off legally, financially, and personally - at least this is what all the studies seem to indicate. Moral of the story, sure why not; "Don't become a failed marriage statistic over financial challenges!"
